Keynote - Dr. Terry Holliday - Commissioner, Kentucky Department of Education inspires us to follow his lead "Igniting a Passion for Learning." Prior to his role as KDE Commissioner Dr. Holliday served as Superintendent of the 20,000+ Student Iredell - Statesville Schools, Statesville, NC.  Under his leadership Iredell won the 2008 National Malcolm Baldrige Award for Excellence in Education. During his tenure as superintendent from 2002 until 2009 he also received recognition as Superintendent of the Year, the Grayson Medal for Innovation in Quality and numerous other leadership awards.

After joining Poudre Valley Health System in 1991, Priscilla NuwashDirector Process Improvement is responsible for making the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence operational. During her tenure in this role, Poudre Valley Health System received four Baldrige site visits, became the only two-time recipient of the Colorado Performance Excellence Peak Award, and received the 2008 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for Health Care.  She has served on the Malcolm Baldrige National Board of Examiners since 2004 and has been a senior examiner since 2005 and is a facilitator for the annual Baldrige examiner training in Washington DC.

 

Pikeville Medical Center (PMC) Panel Discussion Group

Debbie Puckett - CEO Rehabilitation Services has over 30 years experience with PMC and has been instrumental in implementing performance improvements and creating integrated business systems. Debbie is the executive sponsor of the PMC Way their Baldrige approach to excellence. She will discuss how the Baldrige criteria have been applied and the benefits realized by Pikeville.

Greg Donithan - Director Performance Improvement Greg has 20 years experience in process improvement. He is a lead facilitator for quality and process improvements for PMC. He also has experience coaching and Implementing Toyota Production System methodologies to improve operational performance. Greg is an Examiner for the KYCPE program.

Paul Grizzell – Baldrige Performance Excellence Coach with Core Values Partners, helps business clients focus, align, and accelerate their improvement efforts through the use of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. Paul is a Senior Alumni Examiner on Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners where has led multiple site visits and helps train Baldrige Examiners and Senior Examiners.  He is a judge for the Baldrige-based Army Communities of Excellence program and the Illinois Lincoln Award.  He has served on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Council for Quality and as a Judge for the Minnesota Quality Award.
